THE EDUCATIONAL AGENCY

Dawood Batcha Educational and Charitable Trust, Chennai was registered in 1998 under the Chairmanship of Dr.M.A. Dawood Batcha and with Mrs. Rabiya Begum, Dr (Mrs.) Afroze Sultana, Ms. Nadha (Architect) and Dr. Syed Hussain as Trustees. The major objective of the Trust is to run educational institutions especially in rural areas. The Trust wants every one of its institutions to be not only a “MODERN INSTITUTION BUT ALSO A MODEL INSTITUTION”.

Presently, the Trust is running RDB College of Arts and Science, RDB Institute of Management, RDB College of Education, RDB Teacher Training Institute and Two Matriculation Schools, all in Papanasam which is a rural place in Thanjavur District of Tamilnadu State.
 

THE GUIDING SPIRIT BEHIND THE INSTITUTIONS

Dr. M.A. Dawood Batcha is the Founder Chairman of the Dawood Batcha Educational and Charitable Trust, Chennai, who is the Guiding Spirit behind RDB Educational Institutions. He is a Great Philanthropist and Committed Educationalist. He has vast experience in different fields and has served in different organizations in different capacities.
He has got many degrees and diplomas in different disciplines such as B.Lib.Sc (Library Science), M.Sc., (Computer Science), Diploma in Photography, Diploma in Salesmanship, PG Diploma in Marketing, M.B.A., and Ph.D., in Management.
He has visited more than 33 countries including US, UK, Germany, etc., many times all over the world and has wide experience with many educational institutions in India and abroad. His efforts are to implement in his institutions what he has witnessed in other Universities.
The college is run with a difference in every aspect by providing quality education for the rural people who were so far neglected and unable to stand parallel with their urban counterparts. Also he has gone one step further by concentrating on the lives of his students even after their graduation.
He has held many Honorary posts and has contributed very liberally to many educational institutions and deserving students.
